Cookie policy

This cookie policy explains which cookies and similar technologies this website uses, why, and how to manage them. It is given under art. 122 of the Italian Personal Data Protection Code (Codice Privacy), the GDPR and the guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools issued by the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) on 10 June 2021. The site uses technical cookies and similar technologies only.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as the browser’s local storage, keep information on your device in much the same way.

Technical cookies are needed to make a site work or to remember a choice you have made. Profiling cookies, such as advertising cookies, follow your behaviour to build a profile. First-party cookies are set by the site you are visiting; third-party cookies are set by another domain.

What we use

The website uses the three items listed in the table. All are first-party and technical. None is used for analytics, advertising or profiling.

The consent manager is c15t, an open-source library that runs in your browser in local mode. No c15t server is involved.

The c15t-sid identifier is random and pseudonymous. The consent manager creates it on your first visit to link the consent record, and it stays in the browser: it is not collected, read or used by us and is not shared with anyone. The c15t item is the consent record itself and is set when you make a choice.

What we do not use

The cookie banner offers two optional categories, “Measurement” and “Marketing”. They exist only so that your choice is already recorded if such tools are ever added to the site. If any is added, it will load only after you consent, and this policy will be updated first.

Today the site uses none of the following, and your choice does not switch any of them on.

Consent and how to change your choice

Under art. 122 of the Codice Privacy and the Garante’s guidelines, technical cookies do not need your consent: information, which this policy provides, is enough.

The banner nevertheless lets you record a choice. Closing it, or selecting “Reject optional”, keeps only technical cookies. Selecting “Accept all” or choosing categories records your preference; because the site has no optional tools today, it does not change what is stored on your device.

You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” button in the footer of every page. Withdrawing a choice is as easy as making it.

Managing cookies in your browser

You can also control cookies and site data from your browser, which lets you see what is stored, block cookies or delete them. The exact steps depend on the browser and its version: look for the cookies or site data options in the privacy or security settings of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Microsoft Edge or whichever browser you use, or in its help pages.

Deleting a site’s data also removes the stored consent record and language choice, so the banner may appear again and the language will no longer be remembered. Blocking all cookies may have the same effect. The pages themselves stay readable.

Data controller

The data controller (titolare del trattamento) is Phoenix Crown Capital S.r.l. The Doctor Web is a division of Phoenix Crown Capital S.r.l., not a separate company. How personal data is processed is explained in the Privacy policy.

Questions and your rights

For questions about this policy or about how cookies are used, write to the email address below or to the PEC address shown in the controller’s details above. The rights you have over your personal data (arts. 15 to 22 GDPR) and how to exercise them are described in the Privacy policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this cookie policy, for example if the site starts to use a new tool. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version. If an analytics, measurement or marketing tool is ever added, this policy will be updated first and the tool will load only after you consent.
